A New Vegan Treat Thanks to a Concert

Heading to downtown LA for a concert, we found a super-sweet vegan spot.

Amble, my favorite Irish band, was coming to town. I was super-stoked, as was Mike. The concert was at the Belasco in downtown Los Angeles, so I searched for somewhere to eat beforehand.

There were a couple of options within a few minutes of the theater, and after looking at the menus, we felt Mike would have better luck with his onion-and-garlic allergies at Wild Living Foods.

Perfect choice. Wild Living Foods is more of a raw restaurant, but we were able to get “warm” pasta dishes. I like raw food; I was just in the mood for something with a little more, well, warmth that night. We perused the menu and asked a few questions before deciding on the Alfredo pasta dish. Both of us! I also ordered a piece of Sweet Potato Pie. There was no way I was going to pass up an opportunity for that.

Our meals were delicious. I loved mine so much that it will definitely make the list of best meals of the year when I write my “Best of” blog post at the end of the year. The only downside is that I wish there were more to a serving. There was plenty; I just wanted more!

If you find yourself in downtown Los Angeles or are in the general LA area and want to try something different, I highly recommend Wild Living Foods.
