A couple of podcasts I want to recommend!
Hi everyone!
Several years ago, while preparing for a vegan bloggers’ conference, I surveyed readers of The Gay Vegans. I wanted to know who read the blog. To my surprise, the majority of readers at that time were heterosexual women who were not vegan.
I loved that. These days, I think about 20% of my readers are gay men. And still a majority of heterosexual women, although more vegans now!
If you have read this blog for any amount of time, you know that I have rarely written a post exclusively about or for gay men. I actually think this may be the first one. The reason I am doing this now is that in the past several months, I have had some big life changes, including turning 60. During these life events, I began listening to gay male-focused podcasts for the first time, and I want to share them with you.
If you are not a gay male but have gay males in your close circles, I highly recommend the podcasts and think your friends may get a lot out of one or both of them.
The two podcasts are:
This podcast is with gay therapist Ken Howard, LCSW, CST. I found this podcast and began at the beginning. I decided to listen to each podcast, whether or not I thought it would be interesting or helpful. I am constantly learning from Ken and have been presented with so many different ways of looking at my life.
This podcast is with Dangilo and Doctor Carlton. This is a very sexually explicit podcast, which I love. I wish there were a podcast like this when I came out, one that is focused on gay male sexual health. I am new to this podcast, and am going through episodes like I am for Gay Therapy LA. I highly recommend this podcast for any male who is having, or wants to have, sex with men. This podcast is full of information that will help keep us, as gay men, healthy.
These podcasts may not be for everyone. They have made a difference for me.
Thank you for reading. And if you check out one of the blogs, let me know what you think. You can email me privately here or leave a comment and ask me not to make it public.
Thank you for reading!
