The Gay Vegans

A Vegan Panadería in East Los Angeles

I feel so lucky to have found Soy Concha Bakery!

I was at work in East Los Angeles and had some time before heading home, so I did what I always do in these situations: I searched for nearby vegan food.

I found Soy Concha, which was listed as vegan-friendly. It was only a mile away.

Within a few minutes, I walked in and had a conversation with the owner, Ross. To my surprise, Soy Concha is ALL vegan!

Conchas and so much more. I had to try almost everything, and was super happy to bring a box of their deliciousness home.

I typically only do food reviews when I have visited a place at least three times, but I was so impressed with Soy Concha, so sure that I would be back as soon as possible, that I had to write about them. And of course, when Mike loved everything he tried from what I brought home, that sealed the idea of sharing this with you now.

If you’re in Los Angeles and want fresh, flavorful, and delicious Mexican pastries, I highly recommend swinging by and trying what Soy Concha has to offer.

Soy Concha Bakery, 6164 Whittier Boulevard, East LA, 90022.

Closed Mondays (2026 summer hours).

Go vegan. Vote. Be kind.
