The text came from one of our neighbors.

She said we HAD to try this new bakery in Pasadena.

Then she texted: “It’s all vegan!”

Oh my.

ID Eclair opened back in December of 2024. They are in Pasadena, not far from Old Town.

I walked in and my jaw dropped. I was kindly greeted with “Bonjour” and in an instant, I was smitten with the staff.

The coffee person was talking about the whole process of creating an Americano so I ordered one. Not disappointed. Every sip was delicious.

With that, I ordered a blueberry pastry.

The first bite was delightful. And each one afterward. The flavor was perfect as was the texture. I wanted more.

I have since been back twice, once with Mike. We have tried many of the croissants, plain, with chocolate, and specialty ones that are filled with a fruit cream. Each one was delicious.

They also serve food, which we haven’t tried yet. The beet salad looks delicious.

As you know, half of my review is based on delicious vegan food, and the other half is based on hospitality. The staff at ID Eclair could teach courses on kindness, helpfulness, and hospitality.

I did work from here once but it’s not meant as a place to work from. No electrical plugs for your laptop. I think this is because they want to come in and just relax, with kind staff and scrumptious delicacies.
