The Gay Vegans

17 years of marriage!

April 30, 2005 Mike and I had our “Loving act of civil disobedience”, our wedding! We called it that because our marriage was not legal in Colorado at the time.

What a day! We’re forever grateful to all of our friends and family who joined us, and who continue to be a supportive, loving presence in our lives.

Nine years later we would go to San Diego and have a legal wedding. One year after that our marriage would finally be legal in Colorado, and the rest of the country.

There’s so much more to write about marriage, equality, and my beautiful husband, but for now I’m going to end it here and go celebrate.

Thanks for reading. And thank you for being part of The Gay Vegans community.
