The Gay Vegans

Have A Meal At Your Favorite Vegan Restaurant

I was at one of our vegan restaurants the other day, enjoying delish Thai food and a Thai tea.

They were busy.

The next night we were out in Los Angeles and drove by what used to be a restaurant that served delish vegan food. I passed by where I thought the place was and Mike looked them up to find the address, just to see a “Permanently Closed” on Yelp.

I hadn’t had a meal there since before the COVID pandemic. I’m not sure what happened.

The restaurant business is brutal. Keeping one in business is not a simple task.

As vegans, we love going to a restaurant that is all vegan. We don’t have to guess or wonder about our dish. Is there really no chicken stock in this, or fish oil in that?

Vegan restaurants also give me hope. So many people enjoying delicious vegan food served by kind, hospitable people. What’s not to love? And what better way to promote veganism and not participate in violence towards animals.

Make a plan this week to go to your favorite vegan restaurant.

They need you.

Please don’t forget about them.

If you don’t have a favorite, but have one in your area that you are glad is there, go have a meal with them.

They need us. They need those who love them to remember them and support their business.

Let me know where you went.
